we craft homes that are as unique as the families who live in them.
Project
A Long-Awaited Family Home, Maidenhead
Following a long search for the right property, this family wanted to begin their next chapter in a space that already felt warm, personal and complete. Through a fully managed turnkey design service, every detail was carefully coordinated before move-in day, allowing them to settle in from the moment they collected the keys.

Challenge:
Transform an empty house into a warm, characterful family home before move-in day, giving a busy professional family the opportunity to begin their next chapter in a home that already felt completely theirs.
Overall Vision:
A calm and welcoming forever home that felt personal, cohesive and established from day one - somewhere the family could immediately settle in and make lasting memories.
Design Approach:
Taking time to understand how my clients wanted to live in their long-awaited family home, creating a cohesive design that reflected their lifestyle whilst managing every detail required to bring it to life before move-in day.
Project
After a long search, my clients finally found the family home they had been hoping for. While the property offered the space they needed, it still felt very much like a developer-built home and lacked the warmth, personality and character they wanted for this next chapter of family life.
They wanted to move straight into a home that felt complete rather than spend years gradually making it their own. Working to a tight turnkey programme, every aspect of the project was carefully coordinated – from flooring and decoration through to bespoke joinery, furnishings and styling – allowing the family to focus on the excitement of moving while everything else was taken care of behind the scenes.

Challenge Vision Design Approach
LIVING & DINING ROOM
challenge
Create a space that could support family life, entertaining and home working while bringing warmth and character to one of the most important rooms in the house.
Vision
A welcoming and sociable heart of the home where the family could spend time together, host friends and feel completely at ease.
design approach
Designing around the family's everyday routines, creating distinct spaces for relaxing, entertaining and working, whilst introducing the warmth and individuality needed to make the home feel unmistakably theirs.
The Sociable Heart of the Home
As the heart of the home, this space needed to support everything from busy weekday routines to relaxed evenings with friends. Thoughtful zoning created clear areas for living, dining and home working, whilst warm timber finishes, layered textiles and mid-century influences introduced the depth and character the family felt had been missing. The result is a space that feels both hardworking and deeply personal.

MASTER BEDROOM
challenge
Create a bedroom that offered a genuine sense of retreat from busy family life whilst introducing warmth, character and a feeling of calm.
Vision
A sanctuary that felt restful, elegant and deeply personal.
design approach
Creating a space that encouraged rest and recovery, balancing beauty and practicality to deliver a room that reflected the homeowners’ personalities while supporting their everyday wellbeing.
A Sanctuary Worth the Wait
For two busy professionals, the bedroom needed to be more than simply beautiful. Designed as a place to slow down and switch off, the bedroom balances warmth, comfort and understated elegance. Soft dusky pinks, natural textures and fluted timber details create a gentle sense of warmth, while wall panelling adds the depth and character the homeowners felt was missing elsewhere in the house. The result is a room that feels calm, cohesive and deeply restorative.

CHILD'S BEDROOM
challenge
Design a room that celebrated a young personality while remaining flexible enough to evolve over time.
Vision
A playful and characterful space that could grow alongside its occupant.
design approach
Balancing individuality with longevity, creating a scheme that reflected the family’s brief whilst ensuring the room would continue to work for years to come.
A Room Designed to Grow
Designed to reflect its young occupant's personality today whilst providing the flexibility to evolve over time, the room balances playful character with longevity, avoiding short-lived trends in favour of a scheme that can grow with the family.

DOWNSTAIRS WC
challenge
Bring personality and impact to one of the smallest rooms in the home.
Vision
A bold and memorable design moment that surprised and delighted visitors.
design approach
Using this compact space as an opportunity to inject confidence, personality and a sense of fun into the overall scheme.
The Moment of Surprise
Bold indigo fan tiles, brushed brass accents and a blush-toned basin transform a compact room into one of the most memorable spaces in the home, proving that even the smallest rooms can have a big personality.

GUEST BEDROOM & WORKSPACE
challenge
Create a room that could support regular home working while remaining welcoming for guests.
Vision
A flexible and hardworking space that felt calm, comfortable and considered.
design approach
Designing around the realities of modern family life, ensuring the room could adapt effortlessly between work and hospitality without compromising either function.
Designed to Adapt
With both homeowners regularly working from home, flexibility was an important consideration throughout the project. This room now provides a productive workspace during the week and a welcoming guest room when family and friends come to stay.

BEHIND THE SCENES
challenge
Deliver a fully completed home before move-in day while coordinating multiple suppliers, trades and installations.
Vision
A seamless experience that removed stress and allowed the family to focus on the excitement of moving into their new home.
design approach
Providing a fully managed turnkey service, coordinating every stage of the project so the family could focus on the excitement of moving whilst every design detail came together behind the scenes.
Bringing It All Together
Beautiful homes don't happen by accident. Behind every finished room sat months of planning, procurement, supplier management and careful coordination. The result was a fully realised home that felt personal, welcoming and complete from the moment they walked through the front door.

testimonial
A Long-Awaited Family Home, Maidenhead
Before working with Antonia, I was quite nervous about hiring an interior designer. I had a very strong picture in my mind of how I wanted the space to feel, and I wasn’t sure I’d be able to translate that vision to someone else.
But from our very first consultation, I knew we were going to be a great team. Antonia immediately understood what I was trying to articulate, helped me refine the end goal, and then brought her expertise to life in a way I could never have achieved on my own.
The transformation has been remarkable. The house was completely empty when we started, and Antonia helped us phase everything thoughtfully around our priorities. The result is a home that feels cohesive, warm, and beautifully personal, with an organic flow of colour and design across each room.
What I valued most was Antonia’s calmness, her ability to listen deeply, and her steady guidance even in moments where decisions weren’t straightforward. She always helped define the next steps with clarity and confidence.
I would highly recommend Antonia and Golden Peacock Design to anyone looking to transform a house into a home.
